Re: Hate
Well, like I said, the engine I did it to was abused pretty bad, so we weren't too bothered. Honing is, as far as I know, kinda like really precise drilling.
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Re: Hate
Ooooh, that'd have a fair bit of poke. Aren't those about 100bhp?

Re: Hate
Am i right in thinking you could just stick a carb on that spi engine (with the addition of a electric fuel pump)? Or do you think it would be easy enough to wire the loom in?
Just thinking if i ever need a new engine in the future. There does'nt seem to be many carbed engines around any more, but quite a few of those spi engines.

Re: Hate
If I was going to do an engine swap, I'd probably go for an SPI 1300 from either a late SJ or an early Jimny.

Re: Hate
But if you're putting in an SPI engine, you might as well use a 1.6?
Hardly any more work, and an extra 300cc is nothing to scoff at!
