My bother had 9 points on his licence and got caught speeding again
the summons came through his letter box, he called me panicking because he drives for a living and didn't want to loose his job, I popped round for a cuppa and had a look at the document and his licence, I asked him if it came from royal mail or had he signed for it... Royal mail, no signiture. So I tore it up threw it in the bin and told him not to worry about it... This happened again about two months later, I asked if he had signed for it, again it was a no and again I tore it up, binned it, This happened again about two months later then in another two months or so another was delivered, he called me as before, I went to his house, checked his licence and the summons... "You can answer this one" I said... We had put the court appearance off long enough for three of his original points to drop off... He got a fixed penalty and the normal fine, but NO ban.

).....got it back a year later and from then its been sqeeky clean(apart from the dr10 on it till i was 25)!....30 this year.
