Help! I cant get it in!

Post by timmo » Thu Mar 31, 2011 6:27 pm

Hello all,
I have a problem. Taken out the 970 lump and am putting in 413 unit with 5 speed box but it wont fit! I have 413 engine mounts but the left mount will not line up by about 3 inches and both mounts just seem too short. also the gearbox mount is different and will not fit either :argh:

Hey timmo where in the country are you, there might be someone nearby that can help, its pretty darn easy to modify the engine mount on the chassis.

Thanks for the encouragement! I live near Bury st eds in suffolk. I'm afraid I have no welder. I assume gearbox mount needs welding too?
