There is a story behind the tractor,

it used to run prostock 600-1000 and competed against this...

Now that is a tractor! again running through a 1950's 55-60 hp back end.

Currently the ditch which will be no more than 220 hp, but with planned modifications it should be 650 atleast :brows:

Progress has been made,

Input shaft changed, to a new one, i just had to open the spines up a bit to get the new clutch pltes on, then put the pack back together and adjust up.

The new bigger fuel pump is causing a few issues.. firstly

The governors have been removed, this means that tick over is 3000rpm :brows: And it wont run propperly till you rev it up to 6500-7000 rpm, so the fuel air mixture is right  This then means that we will have to go up a class, probably melt 2 engines a year, need to buy shatter blankets for the bell housing (£1000 EACH) along with a turbo 3 times the size, intercooler, water injection into the clylinders and finally the head will need to be fire rung, with massive injectors :tosser:

So we dont want to go there yet, so we need to find a way as to how we can put the governors back in, so tickover is around 800 rpm, move the weihts in the pump around so we can in effect decrease the output of the new pump by 50%

All this by this time next week

Well got it back together today, after around a hour trying to line the clutch plates up, getting the front and rear end back in it finally went together.

A hour re wiring the reversing lights, and the starter saftey switch on the gear stick and it was up and running. I had half a hour on the fuel pump that is on it, got it open and moved the weights along a bit on the rack.

A noticeable increase in fuel and power. Got the clutch bedded in nicely, but oil is weeping from the head gasket, but it will be ok, the enigne will go bang before the head does 8-)

But i dont think we are going to take it to bristol, ill be there tho.

Got bored today so opened the fuel pump up again and moved the weights a bit more on the rack. That hit the spot. Top gear, get the boost up and let the clutch out and she was wheeling down the drive, went right back on the anti wheely legs  thats with nothing on the back too!

Also torqued the head down and stopped the oil leaking, so all ready for the comp, if she goes. We will be there on the saturday night, with or without the tractor, as we operate the standby sledge also.

The show and the pulling happens on MONDAY, scott i will pm you my number shortly :rockin:

Now thats out of the workshop, roll on the panda
