side exit exhaust ?

just wondered if anyone had fitted a side exit exhaust ???? if so was it hard???
1992 Suzuki SJ 413 samurai,TURBO,Webber carb,2" calmini shackle reversal kit,32mm wheel spacers,maxxis 235/75/15 mud tires,vitara alloys,swift gti interior,1"lift springs,heavy duty transfer box mounting bracket.

1986 land rover 110 ,boost alloys,bfgoodrich mud terrains,a bar,spot lights,

The first backbox is pretty much in line with the seats, a bit of bending and welding and it would be a side exit. pretty easy :twisted:

Just be careful about where it comes out, you don't want it somewhere that you can crush it when out offroading

Yeah like scott says, with the rear exhaust, most of the pipe is tucked up inbetween the chassis rails...

If it's coming out the side, it's going to reduce your clearance on that side, so be careful

As above i think side exit exhaust may be vulnerable. Best conversion in my opinion (and cos i have one) is a stack.

ye thats what i was thinking but i don't go hardcore off roading so thought it might be ok :S

I'm not sure if that exhaust mount will pass the MOT or last very long, maybe the first 5cm of movement :lol:

looks good, it should be fine there as long as your careful.
