I'm new here. I will be carrying out some work on a friend's Jimny and would like to share the experience.
I documented the process and made a video from start to finish.
It took a lot of effort just to get it apart and then many minutes of shot blasting at full pressure (50 CFM 10 Bar).
Once all of the rust was gone, anticorrosion primer was added, new bushings were installed, and holes were welded up, I could add some 2k epoxy primer and a purpose-made top coat called Polycoat Protect.
