Hi all, I have a 1.3 Samurai that ran dry and damaged one of the big end shells. I have the engine stripped and ready to rebuild but I'm having a bugger of time finding anywhere that sells shells for this engine. does anyone know of somewhere that stocks or can order in shells for this engine.
thanks

Have you checked the cam journals and head....those are usually the first things to suffer when a G series looses oil pressure.

Wouldn't it be easier just to bang another engine in there, or upgrade at the same time (unlike me )

Hi, thanks for your replies. The rest of the engine is still tip top. As for sticking another engine in, I'm not keen on that idea as I want to keep the old girl original. not many left that haven't been adapted and or chopped up.
I'm just having trouble finding a supplier I can get shells from. There's some on eBay but they're from India and probably hammered out of baked been tins.

A lot of the Indian parts are genuine Maruti Suzuki so just check if they are before you order if you end up going that way.Jimbobs wrote:Hi, thanks for your replies.
