Suzuki and mum to the rescue

Post by Tommyboyblitz » Mon Jun 05, 2017 9:38 pm

I have a workshop which is on some land i rent, the owner likes offroading too and decided to build a mini course on his land.

I was showing my mum the course in my Hilux Surf which is about a million times to big for it and managed to get it stuck in a stupid position, having no other choice she had to drive the surf and i grabbed the SJ to pull it out, Surf has a winch but nothing to winch it too and i wasn't really prepared and was even wearing my best trainers!

After fighting and struggling the SJ was looking like it had no chance pulling the 2 tonne hilux up a steep bank and it was sort of wedged with the toe bar buried into the bank but one snatch and gave it enough to move the bloody beast and with my mum driving managed to pull it out.

Only pictures i am afraid as i was running about frantically trying to free the surf

I can't be bothered to photoshop this (even though it'd be pretty easy)...

The surf is actually a pretty good vehicle. Not SJ good, clearly, but if I wanted to make a MONSTER with 40's or whatever, I'd base it on a Surf, I think, with solid axle swapped in up front (maybe even a pair of Volvo 303's... Mmmm...)

Naaah, I love Zuks too much, even if I could afford that!
