Why I haven't been around much...

After that, travelled to Bucharest, Constanta (pronounced "Constanza") and Targu Mures, for medical treatment again. Tested positive for a number of tick bite related diseases, the most damaging probably being Borrelia (although still not sure which one exactly, we know it's not Borrelia Bergdoferi, aka Lyme disease - I have its shy cousin).

Because you can't get treatment for the diseases I have in the UK, I'm in Romania getting treatment instead.

I would love to say that's why I haven't been posting, but Romania has the best broadband in Europe. The truth is that Jarrish Herxheimer reactions (where antibiotics kill lots of bacteria at once and their carcases poison you) aren't much fun.

Thankfully now I'm back in Targu Mures, where there's a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy centre, I've been doing HBOT which makes the herx reaction less painful. Yay and stuff.

Flying back in a couple more weeks, bringing a suitcase full of antibiotics of various kinds as Borrelia likes to change form to avoid antibiotics - so you have to take different antibiotics for each stage of the disease.

Anyhew, that's what I've been doing recently, hope you lot are all doing well!

Well all of that sounds just ace Anton. Looks like you are having immense fun.

Hope the treatment all goes well and you're up for some SCUK Suzuki / cider / fire orientated fun throughout this year.

Really really looking forward to something involving the Zuk, mud, Cider and fire. Ideally with gluten free burgers.

Absolutely. Hoping that a bit of laning with you and the Mrs will be do-able.

Hope it all works out for you bud :hands: it's rediculous that you can't get treatment for it in the UK.

I'm gonna try to organise a few meets this year after taking last year off for myself so it would be awesome if you could make it to one

Thanks Robbie! She generally answers to "Eugenia" or "Jenny". I'm quite fond of those photos, as I am of the lass in them.

Glad to hear that you're getting somewhere with this.

Sounds like a nice large SCUK meet coming up!
