Post by suzvit » Thu Jun 30, 2016 4:41 pm

Hi everybody, new here..

may need your expertise.

The car was hesitant and it came down to a faulty TPS. so i bought one and changed it my self.
It has taken care of the problem but a new one has arisen. Every time i start the car i need to do it twice.
what i mean exactly is that i manage to start the car only when i ve turned the keys a second time.
strange?

any one got any ideas. i ve attache a pic of the car i question.

thanks

Might be worth checking the air flow sensor is good... my mx5 does exactly the same thing.
Sensor is disconnected because it was giving incorrect readings. Now its trying to work out the mixture on the lambda reading.
Only side effect is a puff of smoke on hard acceleration (as the mixture adjustment catches up) and having to start it twice every time!
