Hi guys,
In heavy rain i get water in my footwell coming in through the lower right bit here thats been patched up. Where is this coming in from? The outside of the wheel arch near the tyre is dry.
I personally think it's coming from water getting into these vents.
How do i get in there to it out? It's full of crap including rifle brass.
Thanks in advance

Look under the bonnet.... coming out from the bulkhead will be two rubber right angle pipes pointing downwards.
Poke your finger in there and clear out all the crap. Water is supposed to run into that grille and then out of the 90* pipes and onto the floor. When the pipes are blocked it comes inside

Just pushed my finger up them and they feel clean. I think i have lots of bullet brass down there that needs getting out property. And way to get under there properly?
Also... what on earth is the point of the grill?

It is so water hitting the windscreen goes down into it i think rather than ending up on top.
Pour a bucket of water down each side of it and see how much water comes out of the bulkhead

It's the air intake for the blowers/heater

I've always had water in the footwells, way less now than before and only in heavy driving rain.
So far I've: kept a permanent magnetic vinyl cover over the grille when parked overnight, replaced the windscreen glass, replaced the rubber windscreen surround.
Also cleaned all heater matrix, cleaned out the rubber tubes you mention above, but, still get a little puddle of water in the passenger well a couple of times a year.
It seems to come down behind that dash tubing under the glove box.
Only thing left I can think of, is maybe the rubber door seal?
