lj80 for parts or offroad £300
lj80 for parts or offroad £300
It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to sell my LJ80. The LJ has been in my mums garage for the last few years but shes planning on moving house soon and I dont have a garage available.
I bought the LJ a few years ago for a ridiculous price without really looking into it, there are some good bits, some bad bits.
Bad bits:
Its not registered in the UK, I didnt really look into registering so I dont know how easy this would be
Its running one LJ and one SJ axle, these seem to work together so I dont know how they are set up
There's the usual rust here and there
its currently SOA on the front and SUA on the back. I was putting back to SUA but didn't get round to doing the front, whoever did it the other way changed the steering parts slightly so it wasn't as easy as I though
The fuel tank isnt genuine
Fuel pump diaphragm is shot
Good bits
a lot of the body pannels (bonnet, windscreen, tailgate, plastic front grill) are in good condition
Engine runs with a gravity feed
brand new genuine exhaust
polybushs fitted to the rear and supplied ready to fit to the front
fuel pump diaphragm ready to fit
reasonable tyres on the lj with the original rims also included
As always, pictures say a thousand words to please see attached. The seats are in the garage but arent original, they seem to work ok though. It would make a good offroad project or a great car for spares. if your interested, my gmail address is the best way to get hold of me, 0611john@gmail.com. the LJ is near Barnsley, south yorkshire, £300 takes it but i could do with gone ASAP.
Thanks for looking!

hi scottie,
I didn't take a new picture yesterday but this picture is from that last time I did anything to it (about a year ago). Its been in a garage since though so it hasn't changed. I forgot to mention in the first post that its LHD.
let me know if your interested, if no-one on here is interested I'll have to chuck it on ebay.
Cheers,
john

I'm in the same storage conundrum or I would probably give it a home.

If any of the club regulars has a place to put this and time to work on it, I don't mind finding the £300 (as a loan) if it means this thing goes to a good home.
On the proviso that I get 5 minutes in the driving seat someday!
