Suzuki sj413 tintop from Guernsey, Channel Islands.
Been doing a bit of rust removal over my summer break, just managed to finish it off in time for my return back to University, so she'll be ready for my Christmas break to get nice and muddy!
How I bought her 2/7/09
Big wheels Christmas '09
Rust! Summer '10
The explanation of why my interior cards were so soggy and muddy!
AAL and rust removal September '10
When I return home at Christmas I'll take some proper photos with my flashes

At least you don't have MOTs on guernsey eh! the rust doesn't look that hard to sort out.

yeah, the no MOT is great. However there is talk of bringing one in, but it's completely backed by the motor trade so they can make more money. I really hope that it doesn't happen, there really isn't a need for one, as our speed limit is a maximum of 35mph! haha
Managed to get all of the rust done over the summer apart from the front arches. This was my first go at rust removal on any car and I was pretty pleased with the results, however when I finish University and return to home for good I am keen to get into welding, as all I used was fibre-glass and body filler. I got one of my friends to mix up the paint so the colour was correct, as this was my first proper experience in spraying too I learnt a lot about spraying techniques.
All in all, not a difficult task, just a mundane and boring one! Thankfully the results are well worth it!
One unfortunate thing of living on a small island is the fact that you're never more than a 5 minute drive from the sea, and my house is only a minute away, all this salty sea air is like a breading ground for rust! The reason why the rust on my SJ isn't too bad is because it only came over to Guernsey within the last 4 years, it's spent most of it's life over in Winchester.
Seriously considering buying a LWB next summer though if I can find a decent one, and will take it back home with me when I finish University. Although I prefer the look of a SWB, I'd really like the space of a LWB for my surfboards, and drums!

aha, too expensive! I'll have it over for a week or so in the summer though
yes! I like the sound of that, pretty busy with uni stuff until the 19th, but well up for coming out after that, will bring the camera along and get some cool shots
