Woo chuffed for you, galvanisings good- in fact it's fantastic for longevity, in20 years time your chassis will be as good as new! Looking forward to pictures

It went to be blasted and painted black but the chap that runs
The sand blasters is a little forgetfull and done it wrong.
I was using a van i shouldnt have been and i had no choice but to take it back to the workshop. Its a situation that became awkward due to the size of it. So walking the chassis across the yard to be painted cost more but in the end its done quicker. I just dont have
The space in the barn to paint, not without covering everthing in overspray.
The gutting bit is i have a full car sized booth at work i use everyday with a full air feed set up. but home jobs arent allowed

Righto. Not much to update but
I think i have everything now. I have a box of bits to blast and send off to be zinc coated like brake calipers and rbc and a few other little bits. The aim for the end of jan is to have the rolling chassis.
Completed with all the running gear refurbished and fitted. And the body tub dropped on so i can start the unbobbing side of things.
It will come to a halt again in feb as the citroen is needed for a wedding and as im the driver/ chaufer its got to look spot on. Its also possibly going up for sale later in the year along with the carlton and the recently aquired temporary samurai.

We have a roller.
Made a start on drilling all the spot welds
On the bullkhead and prepped the rhd
Plate to be welded on. Lhd dash strengthening plate and
Dash scuttle removed and other gubbins
Removed ready for a jap dash and a Lreg loom to be fitted.
Just got to disect the old bulkhead for the scuttle/dash mount
Panel and plug weld that on.
Ive not bothered cleaning any running gear up.
Just want to get this complete and stop wasting time making crap look pretty when its just going to get dirty again

Yesterday morning I cleaned and buffed my whole car including the engine bay....then I went offroading 12 hours later in very boggy conditions and filled the engine bay with mud and foliage crap, aswell as made it so that if somebody told you my car was red under the mud you'd actually believe them .-.
