I'm down to the KL71 or Maxxis, but can't find Maxxis 195/80/15 at the mo. I suppose Maxxis do normal sizes? - 31" will never be going on my SJ !! - it's super-straight (apart from a 1.3/5 spd) and staying that way. I reckon the KLs would be great for what I want and they seem widely available. It'll be a while before I get the powder-coated wheels back [original cream, shock

] so I can do my research a bit more.

I thought maxxis did do some smaller sizes but it looks like the smallest bighorns are 235/75r15, depending on the true size they migh or might catch on a standard SJ, i had to do a tiny amount of trimming to fit 235s on one of mine.
You could also go for 215/75r15, they fit with no modifications and will give you a bit more ground clearance.....never a bad thing.

I ran 215/75/15 on the previous Sami Scottie, worked fine (clearance etc) but on this 410 I am going for the full-on retro skinny original gear. Looking at Hankook at the mo, seen a lot of good reviews in the U.S. on them. Waiting for the powder-coated wheels back. More news soon. But it starts now - new SU, brake servo switch, new battery.... it actually runs, dead handy
