Request for replacement carb/fuel injector . (Mikumi model)
Hi, I would be grateful for any advice/help any members can give me.
My 1998 Suzuki Samurai/ SJ 413 has emission issues and needs a replacement/refurbished fuel injector. It’s a Spanish (Santana Motors) build and Suzuki dealers in Spain, UK & Germany only seem to have carb details and no record of the fuel Mikumi injector fitted and quote a part number for a carb
Details are as follows. (Mikumi model) Mono injector carb as fitted to G13BA engine. This was fitted to various models of Suzuki, 1989 Sidekick, 1989–1997 Swift, 1985 onwards Samurai/SJ413. The VIN # of my Samurai is VSESJS00C00208630.
Other than repair, can anyone suggest a replacement, bearing in mind it has to conform to emission levels with a catalytic convertor fitted.
Does anyone know if ADK is still trading as no emails/calls answered for past few weeks.

Are the injectors the same as the ones on the 8v Vitara SPI models? I'm just wondering if you could scavenge the parts you need from a Vitara - SPI 1.3's are rare where SPI 1.6's are fairly commonplace. Another option is perhaps getting a whole Vitara 8v or 16v engine and ECU and upgrading to a Vit engine - as I'm certain the parts for those are easy to get.
Plus you'll have a more driveable vehicle.
Your other option might be to convert to carb, my (non cat) carb'd 1.3 has rediculously low emissions:
I don't know if that's low enough for your vehicle to pass, but I imagine it is... I think from 1986 until about 2002, you had to get below 3.5% CO, and I'm under 1%, so even if mine was a 1986+ (it's a 1985 so I only have to aim for 4.5) I'd still be fine.
Don't quote me on that, especially if you're not in the UK...

Ive sent my parts guy here in malta a message to see if he has them. There is a rental company in Gozo that has a few of the injection models so he normally keeps parts in stock for them

I just "Googled" the part number, this is one of the suppliers http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/suzu ... tor%2C6224
It shows one brand as "Standard motor products TJ63", when I "Googled" that lots of suppliers showed up.
