Been putting off doing the tank till we had a decent bit of weather. I can't do it in the hallway as there is no room to move around it when I paint it so it's back at the workshop.

So I did the side stand and foot rests. Spring snapped but amazingly there was a NOS one on ebay for a tenner.

New plugs and caps too.

Then the tank. Took all day to do but I am finally happy with it. The decals can go on when the paint has cured a bit. Not looking forward to that at all...

Well I hope you recover very soon matey. Then it's MUD time!

Elsie now all done. Decals are on, a very stressful time but I'm happy with it. One day I'll take her to bits and do a full resto and then the tank will go to the pros for a proper job but for now she'll do.

Great work, coming on nicely, I don't know if I said before? But my dad has an original bell helmet in the loft, the one that came free with his 250lc when he bought it new, it matches your paint scheme!

Not his (it's got the wrong colour decals) but like it
