Re: insurance
Go for a classic car policy mate. Cheap cheap cheap
Re: insurance
Classicline insurance. Very oldschool (no emails!) but pleasent
And friendly to deal with they deal with classics and furture classics of which the samurai is considered. They are the only
Insurance company ive found plesant to deal with.
Im very reluctant to go back
To adrian flux. They get alot of bad reviews now sadly.
My last policy with them for the tin top with uk breakdown (50 QUID) was
£498
My tin top with classicline. Vit lump and wider wheels. 5k a year
Limited policy. Including uk and europe breakdown cover.
£220.
Im 28 but i live in dunstable next to the festering shithole that is luton so we also have a luton postcode and classed as high risk
Which obviously increases the premium.

Re: insurance
I must admit i never asked. my tin tops my daily so isnt used offroad. I have done a few lanes in it but then they are public highways so im not entirely sure on where you stand if an incident occured as it is technically a road.
I had also asked them if they will cover it once i modify it more
And they said that even tho they dont specialise in it as much as
Other companys out there they are happy to have a look and see
What they can do and if they can help. And thats what ill do.
Ive found their service very helpfull and honest. I havent had to
Claim yet so ive no experience with that side of them.
They cover my 1980 citroen dyane. Fully comp with breakdown £91
But they couldnt offer a competetive price on my 1987 carlton even tho its 28years old no classic insurance companys recognise it as
A classic due to its undesirableness as it is just a big almost base model family car with a lower end of the market value.
But they do recognise the mid 90s samurais as classics.
Basically any car that someone would have as a weekend toy
But most wouldnt use daily (i do )
My carlton is insured through chris knott insurance. Again another
Broker. They have also been helpfully but are more on the normal
Car side of things and happy to price match.
Insurance is so random on older motors is definately worth
Ringing around and looking at more specialist brokers.
Ive heard good things about hagerty insurance which is
Apparently all run by car enthusiasts.

Re: insurance
I won't recommend them anymore after they essentially ripped the website/forum off by ignoring any correspondence regarding payment for advertising on the website.twiss wrote:I always had good service and prices from 2gether
