sometimes I hate suzukis!

Post by ScottieJ » Wed Jul 28, 2010 10:41 am

I dont really but what a nightmare   needed a new fuel pump as mine is pi$$ing oil everywhere so i got my dad to order one in through his garage, £40 later I thought that's cheap  it was the wrong one! so I got the other one they listed for it, £80 later :x it looks pretty much identical but costs twice as much and it didn't fit for a different reason

So i phone suzuki and £102.17 later I finally might have the correct one on order??? I hope it is as I leave for france in the SJ on sunday

Jesus! I paid £27 for mine! although I don't think the 410 one is the same, but I wouldn't have thought it was that expensive!

Well, if one diff goes you could just use the other one.

Cheers for the trailer offer tony but then i'd have to pay extra on the ferry  It should be all good I swapped some rear side gears over from an old sammy diff into one of my good spare 410 front diffs  it's the first time i've built a diff so i hope i got the bearing preload correct  I just counted the amount of turs it took to remove the bearing retainers and re fitted them with the same amount of turns  It feels all good! (I hope) I'll be taking a spare prop and extra UJ, a spare alternator and CV
I also replaced a front wheel bearing last night and fitted some tie-down points in the rear bed for some storage boxes to go in.

My fuel pump turned up today so tonights jobs are to fit that and the franken diff and I should be good to go
