I would be grateful if you would allow me to post in the other areas as I need some information which I seem unable to get direct from Suzuki!

I have a 2006 Grand Vitara 2.0 TD which needs a rear diff and whilst I have received quotations for some reconditioned/used ones, I cannot find out if I can accept one from any model or if it has to be the same model and same year.

I also have a feeling mine was manufactured in 2005 and registered in 2006, hence the 2006 plate but don't know how to confirm this.

I just feel that I will get more sense from people with a lot of knowledge on this site so please, if you can, let me have any information you can give which will be much appreciated.
