Samurai of Corse!

Post by Jerry Atrick » Mon Sep 21, 2015 12:31 pm

I spotted a smart Samurai 1.9 tdi in Calvi, Corsica a couple of weeks ago. I didn't know such a beast existed off the production-line. Any comments? (I wanted to put a couple of photos of it in The Gallery but got a message that it was too big.)

Yeah they sold them in a few countries but never in the UK, I think they were all toward the end of the SJ's life span, did all the diesels have coiled springs instead of leafs?

I think the diesel models had leaves the same as the petrol ones.... I think they only made the coilies in japan and indonesia.
Personally I would avoid them.... they literally fitted the worst type of peugeot 1.9td they could get...
XUD9 SD - 62hp lol
They did a NON-TURBO version in the rover 200 (XUD9A) that was more powerful than the turbo one in the samurai!

Would it be easy to swap an XUD9TE in?
