Hitch Mount for 84' SJ410

Looking for the best way to mount a trailer hitch.

I can see where I could mount a " Y " shaped trailer hitch in place of the eye bolts on the rear.

Is there a good compatible brand that bolts up all nice?

The original towbar subframe would mount to the locations you have identified.

This is a UK forum and I doubt anyone will be familiar with any particular US kit.

I would just keep a look out for an original one on your local spares pages if I were you.

My towbar looks to have been a home made item (but not by me), it's been good and survived towing out other vehicles, it bolts to the chassis in x6 places, the only thing I would change is that the box section crossmember is in the way of the licence plate, but you can mount the plate on the box section but this unfortunately pushes it out from its original position the thickness of the box section, this means the licence plate lamps don't work as well - although they do still work!
