Mine's terrible on fuel but I do have two transfer boxes and 33s, tbh I never really work it out but I'm pretty sure it's worse than most

Re: how much fuel do you use?
OK, thanks for the reply's guys. when i fill it its about £40 to fill so i would say its a standard tank. ill look into the needle and the spring in the carb. Am i right saying it should have a BFM needle and yellow spring? what's the best place to get a rebuild kit from?

Burlen Fuel systems are the definitive place to go for SU carbs

BFM and yellow needle will be fine

Re: how much fuel do you use?
just serviced the carb and put the yellow spring in with the BFM needle. the needle i took out was a BCE and the spring was thin and long. going to put it back on later

Re: how much fuel do you use?
Both the SU carbs Ive had came with a really long thin spring... not sure which ones they were but they definitely werent yellow ones!

Re: how much fuel do you use?
No idea what spring and needle mine has fitted. Came off a 1.6 Austin / Rover engine so should be somewhere near right. Doesn't use masses of fuel when compared to others. Goes quite well.
