question if aloud

Post by hucky » Mon Jun 07, 2010 1:14 pm

i dont know if i have mentioned this or not but i work in a car spares and accessories shop in the manchester area.

i have been looking at poss doing some 4x4/off road accessories in the shop. when i approached my boss about it, he likes the idea but asked if their was a market for it etc.

i think that off roading in a growing sport, esp in the landrover area but i want to start off with the suzuki's as its what im getting to currently know.

i have a sourced a supplier that will supply me parts but only in very large bulk orders.

my first question is, would i be alloud to supply or promote these parts on the forums, obvioulsy with discount / groupe buys etc? if this is alloud by admin and mods that leads me to the next question.

i know i can get checker plate panels pre cut to shapes and a cheaper version which has a swirl effect on their for both interior and exterior. i can also get things like shackles 1,2 and 3" as well as spoa kits. the kits are the ones with the slightly longer feet so that you weld them to the origional mount thats on the axel rather than welding to the axel and risk damaging it. they can also come with extended U bolts etc.

interior pannels available even go down to the ash tray, glove box and speedo facia

if theirs any thing else you think i should be looking at then please let me know, and also could admin please let me know on your views of my shop supplying these parts?

hi mate

looks good and i dont mind them being sold on the forum, however it would probably be best to PM Dan (bourneyo) as he is the owner of the site (i'm just a moderator)

You might find that there isn't a huge market for sj bits but then again if your prices are good then i'm sure you wont have a problem selling stuff.

I might be interested in a set of your perches and Ubolts, what thickness steel is used for the perches? 4 or 6mm? could you pm me a price?

Thanks scott

soon as i have the price list of the supplier i will do, and i have also PM'd bourneo.

i will find info on the perches for you. i know they do have the slightly longer legs so that they weld to the existing mount points on the axel rather than the axel its self to save any damage done by incorrect welding/the temp being to high.
but i will have all information asap

nice one.

IMO you should always completely weld the prches to the axle as they are subjected to a lot of rotational force when spoa

I'm going to be using them for a sammy axle onto 410 comnversion and not spoa anyway.
