Bits from Scottie and Jordi arrived today (cheers lads!) so first off I put the new fuel pump on P5 after a quick clean. Runs sweetly now with great fuel pressure. Put the window things on and the aerial clip and she's almost ready...a bit of paint here and there and that's it.

Piglet 6 being her usual self. Coming home tonight the bloody throttle cable snapped again. AA said it would be 2 hours to get to me so I limped home in 3rd on tickover. And she needs the brake bias thingy that is mounted to the rear of the chassis...anyone know it's proper name? Oh and a relay under the dash on the passenger side is making one hell of a clicking noise...what does it do?

Yep and it was great to be able to start her without using the brake cleaner method. Now I need to figure out why P6 is eating throttle cables...

that relay you are talking about looks like the voltage regulator? without it you won't have any power I think, the alternator only produces ac, and uses this regulator to produce dc I believe. why it would click I haven't the fogiest!

Put a new throttle cable in yesterday and was hoping to drive her today but as the doors are off and at the workshop that was a no-no...it chucked it down. So what can I do standing up? Lets do the LJ doors. Oh dear oh dear. I might need to weld in some fresh metal...if they are salvageable at all.

Yikes! Was that stuffed with filler?

Surprisingly no. But it is now! Just going to get them looking good for Billing...might use the canvas doors but they need special hooks that mount on the door frame, might have to make some up. Driver's door isn't too bad but the other one I am NOT looking forward to doing! Fibreglass methinks..

The bottom of the door IS all filler. Kinda expected that so I will do it all again, managed to get rid of all the rust and it looks like fibreglass will be needed on that hole. I had a narrow squeak when the Dremmell part exploded!
