Got my new Weber Carb installed on my SJ413 and she's purring now.

Im in restoration mood.. Can window blades be changed - How so.

I don't understand tyre sizes either if some good soul could spell out what is required when deciding on a change.

What do you want to know about tyre size?
there are several ways to measure them, Im asuming you will have 195/75r15's if your on standard,

In that case the 195/75r15 is the width of the tread in mm, the 195/75r15 is the % of the width that is in the side wall and the 195/75r15 is the size of the wheel, meaning the wheel that the tyre is mounted is a 15" rim,

the american way of measuring is 31/10.5r15, where the 31/10.5r15 is the Size of the wheel and tyre, I.e. 31" tall from bottom of the tyreto the very top of the tyre, the 31/10.5r15 is the width of the tread, but this time it is measure in inches, meaning 10.5" of tread (on that note 31/15r15 would be the same height just significantly wider and probably suitable for use in bog's/marshland) the 31/10.5r15 is the same meaning the size of the rim,

If your wanting advice to what tyres will fit yours, It would be nice to know what sort of lift you have how high and what parts of the suspension have been altered

Thanks for that lesson Luke. Those things can be confusing if you never tackle them.
Mine is all standard, so for the tyres Albert has attached above, I presume new wheels have also to be bought.
Therefore the studs need to align am I right? Or are most wheels standard spacing?

you should just be able to use the standard 15inch steel wheels.

My wellers used to be a horrible white...



But a good sand prime and paint made them 100 times better!

If you are wanting new wheels you want to make sure they fit the suzuki sj, the sj (and vitara, and diahatsu) have a PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) of 5 x 5.5" or 5 x 140mm The new wheels will have to have the space for the free wheel hubs on the front axle,

Usually wheels are measured by the width and the length, ordinary Suzuki Sj 'pepper pot' wheels are 15" and 5.5j (5.5" wide) replacement wheels can be 7j (7inch wide) or 10j (10inch wide) genrally as you go for bigger tyres with bigger width treads, the wider the wheel you need, If your only planning to leave the SJ on standard suspension you are limited to how big a tyre you can fit in, I'd imagine a 31" tyre being the absolute maximum (and probably involve cutting away some body work) but with a 31" tyre I'd advise you to go for 7j wheels

Alot of people try to get hold of 16" wheels (usually found on a grand vitara) as 16" wheels are the same size as landrover and thus there is a huge range of tyres, The thing I don't like about the grand vitara wheels is I think they are Ugly!
