Elsie
Here she is!
A German import but that's a good thing as they aren't allowed to modify their bikes in any way. She even has restrictors in the down pipes...not for long! And 2 previous owners, both girls...excellent.
Green is not a LC colour they came in white black or blue, so she'll be white as all my others were, with the red decals.
Needs a new cdi and I have got one coming, then get her registered and it's MOT time.
The idea are a few subtle mods to bring her up to date..an RGV front and rear end, (better suspension, brakes and fatter tyres) and some Allspeed pipes and clip ons. But this all takes time and money so for now she'll get a respray and that'll do!

Re: Elsie
Nice. Get that painted white with blue stripes and
I don't know why I didn't buy a new 250LC when I was 17. I bought the RD250E, old stock instead.

Re: Elsie
The LC was more expensive...and the old RD250 was a hoot. I remember mine feeling massive aged 17 but the 400 looks like a moped to me now lol.

Re: Elsie
Elsie was particularly pretty, but I have to say that that my favourite bike of yours remains the Zonkey.
You may or may not want to shoot me for that, but I just love the attention to detail you put into it!
I like the Cagiva too, but I have a feeling that I'd look a bit like this if I rode it:

1985 SJ413VX (SJ50V) with SPOA, rear disc brakes, 31x10.5R15 Kaiman Malatesta tyres, an MOT and a lot left to do!

Re: Elsie
Finally got a replacement cdi. Myherpes lost the original one so another was sourced...at twice the price! All wired in and still no power...then I noticed this little wire doing nothing. Will investigate further!

Re: Elsie
Did a bit more probing but I need a mate to come over with his multi meter. On the plus side original LC parts are very expensive and as mine is not going to be standard at all I have started selling bits I don't need. The indicators went off today to a fellow RD forum member for £50.

Re: Elsie
And here are the more modern replacements. Managed to shear a bolt trying to get the indicator mount off the rear mudguard. DOH! Think this sign sums it all up!
