I've got snap on boxes, in my opinion you can tell the quality in them. But to be fare I have bought them all second hand Ect. Anyway I guy I know has got a American pro 40inch I think and it's good quality and at college we had the I think the draper ones in blue or it might of been a machine mart ones. But the the love of God get one with roller bearings in the draws.
At the end of the day it's the tools in the box that gets you the money and not the pretty little box siting empty in the corner,

Pretty much all the boxes nowadays have roller bearings, it's the actual structural integrity that I'm worried about, last thing I want is a box that flexes or can't handle the weight as I have a lot of tools.
Ps those really expensive snap on boxes have roller bearing sliders...made in Taiwan nowadays, they have done for a long time now
We bought my girlfriends dad a big Arcan Usa made roll cab/ trolley last year and it's really nice but Arcan stuff Is hard to find here.
Tbh if I found a snap on set up for a good price I would have it but £400-450 would be my very limit for a decent size roll cab and top box.

I"ve got a Halfords full stack red ball bearing range, very good quality but if you can catch Halfords black range on special offer even better quality and they will sell the display items at a reduced rate!

Yeah they look awesome! Bit out of my price range thoughandyrew wrote:Im loving sealeys retro tool chest.
I popped into Halfords to look at their boxes today Steve, I do like the the look of the industrial range (black ones) over the professional range, however they drawers aren't as tall and I've got some socket organisers that hold them upright so could do with a few taller drawers unless I keep my sockets in the top section?
Might hold out until the industrial boxes pop up in a sale again, sometimes they do the pair for £300
Re: Tool boxes, roll cabs etc.
Ended up getting the halfrauds industrial set
Like this The offer on the professional set ended yesterday so it went up to £300, for an extra £50 you could get the industrial set so it was a bit of a no brainer
Can't wait to get it up the workshop and full of tools

Cheers matey
Yeah I've got a few Halfords advance/professional tools and I can't fault them, the lifetime guarantee on them is good as well (shame the boxes aren't also covered by it) snapped a few torx heads and they swapped them no questions asked.
