Evening all
First attempt at the world of 4x4 - has only taken me 45 yrs to have a go
Bought my first SJ almost 3 weeks ago after talking to someone about offroading, hopefully here's some pics for you
Number 1 purchase - have robbed starter motor and lockset for the below

The day after getting it home, family friend turned up with this one, the one I'm going to use

O/S/F

N/S/F Floorpan

Dash going back in after catching mouse and checking for nest

O/S/F Floorpan welded

N/S Bulkhead welded

O/S Bulkhead welded

N/S/R arch cutaway - lower part needs trimming

O/S/R arch cutaway - lower part needs trimming

O/S/R arch external cutaway view - lower part needs trimming

This is where I'm up to till today, hoping to have all bodywork done and MOT'd by the end of the month
Won't be doing any form of lifting, apart from the virtual lift,until I've had a drive around with it stock

looks like your doing a good job there on getting it ready for the mot.

dont forget to get some club stickers for the SJ .

Welcome to the forum, where are you from?

You wont be dissappointed once you get the suzuki finished and out in the mud they are very capable little trucks. Just the usual rust patches then looks like you know what you are doing though so i'm sure you weren't worried about all of it are you going for some rhino rays style arches?

And it's MoT'd
Got a fail and pass at the same time, all it failed on was emmisions too high, had this corrected at testing station
Advisory items were
n/s/r and o/s/r leaf spring anchor pin rubber bush's slightly deteriorated not resulting in excessive movement - am planning on poly bush's anyway

fuel pipe corroding - fitting a flexi one

Front brake discs slight surface corrosion - This will go with being used

o/s/r footbrake lower effort, advise inspection - I should imagine this is due to sitting about, I will inspect asap

Still got a fair bit to do to it, just waiting for insurance paperwork to turn up so's I can tax it
Hoping me dad has got an SU carb laying around in his shed somewhere for it
Sills were made using 90mmx90mmx4mm box section

bigger boots are on the list, but may have to wait awhile, new clutch has gotta come first, this one doesn't have a lot of life left in it

Any recomendations for boots as and when the time arrives? This is also gonna be my daily drive so want sommat that will do for both on and off road
