In Malta, when you swap out the engine it is normal that you have to take your vehicle for inspection. In my case I swapped out more than the engine so it went through a more rigorous test but yes, the aim was for it to be street legal which explains those eye sore mud flaps. You can't have the cake and eat it can you? :)

Will the side steps fit on a gypsy if martin doesn't want them (postage will be a lot I think?)

They will be short for the Gypsy but you can come and temp try then on for size.

I think Postage to the UK will be expensive! If you could find out how much that would help.

Don't think that's gonna happen. It is not worth the bother my friend. LAst time I received a Jimny automatic diff from the UK it cost me 100stg in postage alone, get where this is going? :)

Either make some or have some made local, it will be cheaper than the postage, and then trying to fit them.
