I was talking to them while they were doing it, it was the manager that done the tyres and the brakes, they changed the tyres on the SJ alloys and the tyres onto my black 8 spokes on the GV

Think I'll put a normal battery on it for now, XS power are supposed to be good but I don't know where I can get one in the UK

Either way I wouldn't put an optima near any car of mine nowadays. They only make them in Mexico now.

My optima came out of an old chrysler voyager people carrier (my ex's dads lol) so if you can find one in a breakers it might be worth a look to see if theres an original one in it

An optima yellow top is not a Starting battery.

According to their website it is:

Description: High power, dual purpose engine start and deep cycle, sealed lead acid battery

At around 1000 CCA its a big improvement on a stock battery.

Yes that's why I said it in my last post.

This must be a new thing as they used to say it wasn't suitable for a starting battery, they must have changed it recently.

However I've known of a few optimas that have died and wouldn't come back to life even after the recomended deep discharge recovery procedures. All just outside their warranty period and for a battery that costs £160+ I'd like it to last more than a couple of years.

That battery looks good, would be great for the GV cause I'd put the normal terminals on and use the smaller negative terminal for a ground kit, means I wouldnt need to make a new negative terminal and body ground cables, might get one of them if I can find terminals for the smaller ones on the battery

those auxiliary terminals should be threaded, so you can just use a nut on them, generally they even come with a set of nuts on the stud, so you can just bolt ring terminals on there
