themac wrote:Allready picked up some great info on the electricity. Gonna read up more on the generator. I have one from a Mazda 323 that looks like it would fit after some angle-grinding modification.
Do you mean the alternator?
Yeah, lol, mixing languages like crazy :D Alternator, it's generator in Swedish.

And cheers for that info, welding is a lot more up my alley than messing around with steering geometry and that. But I just got brand new 195/80/15 (Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10, wich I can warmly recommend to anyone looking for a budget tire that's as good off road as on the road (and as bad ;) I don't think there's such a thing as true allround tyres) and good looking!).

Ya, forgot to mention. As a CB-radio enthusiast I'll add a 2,7 metre antenna on her. That (and the winch) is the main reason why I want an extra battery and more amps, don't even have a stereo, heck, I'm good with the Iphone playing me some Cocksparrer mp3's laying in the passenger seat :rockin: There's headphones mate)

I've tried (and failed) to listen to music while driving. Headphones do make more sense in an SJ!

I've got a full blown intercom and head sets in mine! :hahaha:

None of my passengers will wear them though, but they are good on long road bits. They reduce the tiresome noise.

I'm loving this company. "Normal" car forums just don't get it! I Love my SJ, not other cars, if I'm going on a long highway run I've got a SAAB (quite a few of 'em actually), f* em. Comfort shcomfort.

Even got a 1987 Swift I got last fall for a winter car. Great little car actually. When it get's stuck, just back up, make a quick prayer to you're maker and give all the speed the little girl has and BLAST through whatever's ahead of ya')

JEEPs are for citypeople.

I didn't realise how uncivilised my SJ was until I gave my girl a lift in it, and couldn't hear her talking over the noise it was making. I honestly don't hear the din when I'm driving.

It's like I tune it out or something. The thing is, that's exactly what gives an SJ it's charm - it's not a "car", and you should not expect it to serve as one.

It's a little offroad terrier, noisy, often scruffy, not afraid to get dirty, and great fun to be around.

Where's the pint-clinckin'-smilie? :doublethumbs:

The lad in the passenger seat Is called Optimus Prime after my childhood hero. He'll pull me out until I got the winch on there.
