I think your closest options are Slindon Safari/Boxgrove Pits west of Arundel, and Mud Monsters East Grinstead, my old favourite. I think Piccadilly Wood has reopened, but don't quote me on that! I think I read something about them being open on April 2nd.

Slindon is the one we go to as we are from Eastbourne, Box grove is now closed :(.

there is a group on facebook called "Corse 4x4" they run trials in the surround area and are great.

Id go to piccadilly personally.

The mud at slindon is sandy (the place is an old sandstone quarry) and destroys anything that rotates... clutches, alternators, starters, bearings, brakes, etc.

The mud at piccadilly is actual mud and I tend to make it home from there in one piece! Only thing I ever broke there was a snapped throttle cable! Had to drive home with a piece of string through the window as the throttle ;)
