The only other problem with building an internal cage is allowing enough room between the doors and the dash board for the tube to fit, the only way I can see is to trim the dash plastic to save compromising on tube size

Internal roll cages
Hi guys, I'm trying to keep my Sj as subtle as possible and I want a bit more protection. I am seriously considering the internal rollbar/cage route but I need some other opinions, I personally am not a fan of external cages unless you are doing challenge events etc. so the plan was to go internal, ...

Been a long time since I last updated this thread but thought I'd keep it going...not much has changed, I replaced the front springs with samurai ones as I found the single leafs weren't up to the job, an internal roll cage is on the cards next and hopefully sorted in the next few months!

Problem is my standard springs all have only one leaf? Every time it gets driven off road it bends them? Mike recommended OME to me but I am open to suggestions

Thanks Scottie that's really helpful, looks like artwork, now we at entering challenges we are slowly finding the week points and this time is just so happened to be the front axle casing! If we were to do the front would it be a good idea to do the rear at the same time? Courier.......we were doing...

Bent the axle on my brothers sj and am looking for ideas on what material etc to use for trussing a new casing so we don't have the same problem again!
