A chap I was speaking to with a lovely 2a (my favourite landy) at billing, Before he restored it His rear chassis rails to the rear cross member turned out to be made from paint tins (or something equally flimsy) with sealant Carefully sculpted to look like welds iirc. I would guess it's on the doors or the dashboard. I'm certain it's a piece of interior trim.

Is it a door handle? The inside one that you use to pull the door shut.

It's probably something relatively minor. I'd go through all the usual service things, like oil, filters, plugs etc. and then try and get a fault check on it. The ECU might be able to tell you if there's a problem with a sensor. It could also be something daft like it's in limp mode.
