Re: Palo's 410 builds!!

Update!!! :guns: Decided i would utilize the 10x5 meter marquee on our patio and get on with one of the SJ's, plus i've only got odd jobs on at the moment so have loads of spare time :D . I'm getting sick of looking at them in bit aswell. So here it is- Ground everything down to bare metal and remov...

Re: Decent welder to buy.

Thanks again, I think i'm being a bit stupid just assuming the higher priced welders are far superior to all the cheaper ones. As i know through experience of buying jobsite tools for work that you are just paying for the brand in most cases with a few exceptions. I'm going to go for a not as expens...

Re: Decent welder to buy.

Cheers for the suggestions. I'll have a further look at the r tech as I have read good reviews about them on various mig welding forums just Thought they looked flimsy. I want a good quality one that will last years as it will not only be used to fab some stuff for the Sj's but will also be used at ...

Decent welder to buy.

Evening all. Anyone have any good suggestions for a decent welder to buy? I'm getting sick of using the cheap crap one I've got as the whole feed mechanism is messed up. Im not looking for a cheap replacement as I don't see the point of buying another cheap one for it to just break again. I'm lookin...

Hi Sherwood. Haven't got any more updates as i haven't had a break from work :argh: where i was able to comple...

Nice work! Coming along nicely.

What is the copper/bronze coloured stuff? Some sort of anti corrosion preventative?

i'm not 100% sure but i didn't think you were allowed to use off road lights on the road with your traditional road use lights.

Re: Palo's 410 builds!!

Got some more done over the weekend and the last couple days. Stripped the chassis off and removed all the flaky paint. http://i.imgur.com/keeHm9f.jpg Also built a trolley to move it about on. http://i.imgur.com/3NsMm8H.jpg Sprayed some Upol rust inhibiting primer and then i'm going to spray it sati...

Re: Removing the body

It's a relatively straight forward job but i would only do it if necessary. The body has 10 mounting points if i remember correctly, two at the back by the tailgate, four in the middle, one under each foot well and two at very front by the grill. From when i did it this is what i remember disconnect...
