Re: SJ vibration
No Sherwood, but I fitted the clutch (well, Andy did, I 'helped') as soon as I got it. I'm fairly sure this is a new thing. It feels like it is mounts somewhere along the drivetrain - but in that case how do I check them when they aren't under load.

SJ vibration
Any ideas please - I am getting a rough vibration under acceleration and decelleration (so when engine is under most load I suppose), mostly in mid rev range. I can feel it through the steering and hear it too. Engine mounts look fine / solid. I'm guessing it is caused by dodgy mounting somewhere al...

Re: Like / not like?
Once had a Citroen C3 with 'smart' wipers... the sort that sense when it's raining. Not even slightly smart, used to come on if a van touched a puddle in front. Another hate is clocks in cars. We have to reset them twice a year and if I need to get the manual out to remember how many buttons to pres...

Re: my boring 410
Sorry all, been away and busy. Many thanks to Donkeychomp for looking out the mirrors. Rude to take so long responding - getting ready for a house-move so a bit distracted. I think I need a matching pair - I shall investigate Sherwood's sources but also need to check what holes are already in the do...

Re: my boring 410
Thanks for looking those out Donkey - so the stem base is bolted into the mount plate? and maybe I could keep my existing mounts and fit these to the black mounts?? I assume holes are in different places etc? Are those chrome stems slightly different?

Re: my boring 410
I've noticed you've got a separate roof over the drivers heads. Do you also have the rear bit that covers the load area? I'm looking for a solution that allows me to keep the back on but take off the 'sun roof' bit above the drivers heads. Yes, that's a bikini top - made by Bestop. I'm getting the ...

Re: my boring 410
thanks all, indeed a Devon one. The seller was a total nightmare to deal with and I bought it without even the engine running, he really was a nasty piece... but I needed the SJ so he exploited that too. Spent quite some time removing his dodgy bits and deleting his fingerprints. Needs the original ...

my boring 410
been a while, but it was off the road (like off-road but cleaner) for longer than expected. Had it about 3 months now: - new rad - new mani and SU44 - new brake servo/master - new clutch - Aisin FW hubs (from 88SJ / Paul various small bits along the way, a temp sender that gets the needle in the mid...
