Hi Guys ive got a su hif 38 off ebay and have fitted it to the engine it fires up and seems to run ok but it has 2 more tubes coming out of it one im sure is just another beather but the other seems to be a return ?? do i plumb this in to to fuel return pipe to the tank or not ?? i have added a pic ...

Hi All ive got a question about putting a SU Hiff 38 in to a sj 410 santanna. as the asian carb has a stop solenoid in it and didnt know where this would go with the SU carb ??????
Any help would be great

im still having trouble with mine as its starving its self then floods

think it may need a new carb

looks just like the asian carb ive got on mine you may have a air lock as the filter isnt full of fuel

No sorry im in southampton . there is a company called totton motor factors they are very good and have got any thing i have needed so far the boke i deal with even drives a sj i may just try there . its just n the side of the carb there is a small hole that the gasket dosnt cover ?? is it ment to b...

Hi guys what would be the best stuff to make a carb gasket out of ??? cork ? paper? or liquide gasket? any help would be great

it could be the fuel vaperising before it gets to the carb..where is your filter?
