it probably is, i dont really know what im looking at tbh, if there was a valve its probably been blocked off with a bolt, should it have been on the side of the carb or the top?rgonzobull wrote:Isnt that the mixture tamper proof "not" screw?

thats where my problem lies then, do you think there is any reason why this would be blocked off? is there a risk that re connecting it might create another problem?

ok, it makes sense that it gives the coil an extra boost upon starting but this wouldnt effect my slow starter motor problem then. thanks anyway

would it work better with the green/black wire just connected to the main 12v supply to the starter like on the diagram?

hi, ive wired up the new coil with the black/green wire but at the starter motor end it is disconected and im not realy sure where it goes. could anyone tell me where abouts to connect it or maby even a picture?
