Re: 1998 Jimny Japanese Import

It looks excellent! I bet its great fun to drive. I'm really jealous that you went all the way to Japan and brought a car back, that's really cool.

Re: New member

Welcome. That's a nice, original looking 410. Have you many modifications planned or are you thinking of keeping it standard?

Re: Site very quiet?

There's more activity on suzuki groups on Facebook, due to the ease of posting there (you don't have to make accounts and passwords and stuff, and people are stuck to Facebook 24/7 anyway). Re: LJ80 Recommissioning.

Thanks Mick! I do love having access to a well equipped machine shop. unfortunately it is really difficult to find the time to use it for my own projects... I have never attempted any CAD, but I doo have some uses for it. I have the plastic parts for one door (handles winders ect...) but not the oth...

Re: LJ80 Recommissioning.

Excellent! I will reference this when I come to doing the rear quarters, Thanks very much. Its interesting how the corners are a separate panel to the rest of the rear quarter, I assume that there is an upstand on the inside where they are spot welded together? I will be trying to replicate this at ...

Re: LJ80 Recommissioning.

Why thank you! It took absolutely forever!! A slitting saw may have been a good idea, I think the original was probably cut like that. But I didn't have any to hand and a friend gave me two 1.5mm milling bits. I broke the first one within about 30 seconds trying to do a 0.5mm deep cut. I then realis...
