Solved- because I know you wanna know. So this turned out to be a faulty connector from the main loom down to the rear lights sub loom. There was power in the cables when you test it inside the wheel jack recess. but not at the lighting mounts. testing does require that you make tiny cuts in the wir...

Thanks, I'll take a look. there does appear to be a couple of curd caked plugs under the rear bumper.
