How do you get the oil in the diffs?

I am following the guide on this site on how to change the oil in the diffs and I am stuck on the front axle. The fill-plug is as stuck as they come so I'm trying to get the oil into one of the bolt-holes who holds the diff-housing to the axle. Is it possible to do without having to remove the axle?...

Re: Luke's volvo

I'll post some for ya mate. Puch's was the standard moped for lads me age back here/then. There's some sites who still has the old trim parts for 'em aswell. Didn't get mine all "fired up" until a couple of years ago. 15 until I die :smokin:

Re: Plasti-dip and plastic paint

Yeah, I might just go for the NATO-green. My original paintwork looks like  anyways. I read about it on a site and I got the idea it would ba good for rust protection, wich might be true on a highway-car, but with all the brush and stuff in the woods, nah.
Thanks for your answers

Re: What's with the JX?

Haha :D Funny looking at it from a European perspective. I do have a lighter and a clock on the dash! Deluxe ;) Thought maybe it was the manual hubs, heard not all models were sold with those.

Ah :) I grew up in one of those. Dad still has it in his garage. My first car was a 164 -73, thirsty girl that was.

What oil to choose?

What oil should I choose for the diffs and gearboxes? (SJ413 -86) From what I've read so far I should avoid GL 5 since they eat the transmission and are no good for older transmissions. Could I use the same GL 4 all around? THere's a good price for 20 l, that's why I'm asking. Looking at Gulf Gear E...

What's with the JX?

I've been wondering something and I can't seem to find the info online. Mine's a SJ413JX, what does the JX stand for?

Re: Hello from a Scandi

I'm loving this company. "Normal" car forums just don't get it! I Love my SJ, not other cars, if I'm going on a long highway run I've got a SAAB (quite a few of 'em actually), f* em. Comfort shcomfort. Even got a 1987 Swift I got last fall for a winter car. Great little car actually. When ...

Plasti-dip and plastic paint

Has anyone tried this? I am to paint my SJ in military green plasti-dip if anyone is familiar with the concept. Has anyone tried putting stickers on the surface? I have two Japanese-Army-Knockoff stickers that will fit perfectly on the doors. Is it a good option for the entire body though? Would it ...
