Re: Project Sammy!
So, as I said in a previous post, Sammy's power steering pump needed a rebuild due to the bearing being knackered. I figured I'd document the process here incase anyone ever has a similar issue (only help I could find online was in Russian, although this proved very helpful in the end!). First of al...

Re: Project Sammy!
So much want. I'm throwing $1 bills at my screen, but nothing's happening. These vehicles are still expensive out in the Iberian peninsular.... One day, they will come down. I want the LWB "Pick-up" I'd really be interested in your opinions of the TDi. Aha! Yeah, they're not cheap and see...

Gotta change the timing belt etc., crankshaft pulley (new one needed machining as it would seem Suzuki machined a load of standard XUD ones to run the additional vacuum pump pulley o...

Here goes... Little bit of history - Sammy is a 1999 1.9TD (XUD9) Samurai out...

Re: Tips on tidying up repaired bodywork?
Seems to be a problem on most of them over here! My SJ is the same age and doesn't have a spec of rust on it, but then that's spent it's life in sunny Spain
Any recommendations on what filler to use?

Tips on tidying up repaired bodywork?
So, I've recently taken up welding... It was either that or pay someone to do it for me, so I went out and bought a mig welder and set to work on the Vit. I soon found out the more you dig, the more you find! https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/v/t1.0-9/12631566_10205511317364396_11577...

Re: aftermarket locking hubs?
Are the tops of those plastic? if so do they have some sort of metal sleeve? The Aisin hubs have cone shaped washers on the mounting bolts and without them they are prone to coming loose, those don't look like they have the taper. Nope, all metal inside and out! And yeah, they have the taper too! I...

I got a pair of these and they've been perfect so far! Cheaper now than when I got them too! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WOO-Pair-Free-Wheel-Hubs-For-Suzuki-Vitara-Gran-Vitara-Sidekik-Escudo-X-90-Jimny/400981410056?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26a...
