Thanks guys, a lot of good info there. I have been thinking about this for a while now, i think you are correct. I have a 1993 sami, are these axles a good start? I saw Mikes build, Very nice, he does seem to work his zuk hard.
I didnt realize he was on 35's.
Sami axle's it is then, i think youre correct. I didnt really like the idea of putting landrover bits on a suzuki anyway.

I didnt know they were expensive to upgrade.
Is there any other options, I cant bring myself to spend up to £1000 for some scabby hilux axles.

Nice one guys,
Yep i will run reasonably big power, and 37's might not be out of the question, but later on.
I just want to build something super strong and try to do it once.
Now then the big question i am probably going to swear now, what about land rover axles they are strong and cheap :stirthepot:

Hi all, I have been hunting around the forums and want your advice. I want to put 33's on and do a vl with yj springs, inspired by Scottie's build. The main thing i want advice on is axels. Would you stick with suzuki and go chrome alloy shafts all round and lots of trusses, Or would you go toyota, ...

Scottie that looks the nuts!!!! I have done a few supercharged swifts (rotrex charger) i didnt like it, with modern ecu's and turbos i can produce much more boost lower down the rpm range full boost 350 bhp 320lb/ft torque at 1.6 bar at 3000 rpm and then we have anti-lag, basically boost on tap and ...

Youve guessed it, I reckon a turbo twincam engine.
But i will begin with a virtual lift on yj's and 33's, i love the look of Scottiej, Ferris's vl's
