Re: Rust problems on BRAND NEW Jimny

I got my hubby to Waxoyl mine the day I got it, he also spent the whole weekend hammeriting the underside (bless him). Four years on it is as good as new and hosing it off is a breeze.

Re: European Union

If we stay in, it's business as usual. if we opt out "they" say it will be a decade to unwind ourselves from the EU. By then we will not know whether it was worth it or not as so much would have changed anyway.
I really have no idea which way to jump.

Re: Jimny Time!

Noticed you have the 3 spoke alloys. If you get the death wobble around 45mph it will more likely be the the wheels rather than the king pins. They are known to warp when the wheel nuts are tightened up. Not a lot you can do about it except change the rims.

Re: does this sound good

It's better than turning up and finding a wrecker when it's promised as 'good condition'. Had that before now.

Re: My new build

I also have a new Jimny. Would be great to hear what you are going to do. Might give me some ideas.
Are you going to make it an animal or a pavement princess?

Re: SJ413 has gone looking at getting Jimny, any advice plea

I had an SJ413 for eleven years and loved it. I now have a Jimny and feel the same. It is an honest motor like the SJ, but with the added benefits of electric windows and air-con (SZ4). I also opted for the automatic as I am fed up with gear changing. The only thing it has not got is the side openin...

Re: D119NKM

Yes it was Worcester Blue. It was imported from Holland in early 87 and I bought it as an ex-demo. I sold in in 97, when I got the 'power bug' (still have!) with about 33,000 miles on the clock. It was garaged kept all its life, never turned a wheel in anger, never off road and from memory only got ...
