Re: Mikes Kja build let's do it all again !! :)

Re: Samurai tie rod bar
The 80 series TRE's have a large taper compared to the Suzuki ones and the knuckles need to be reamed out to the correct size, the reamer on its own is around £50 so what I've been told isn't entirely accurate, story of a lifetime. still could be a good thing to convert to run cruiser tre's, as the...

good work so far!
your trouble with parts sound like our local parts suppliers, unless you take the old bit in, there's a 80% chance you will get the wrong part!

Re: Kiwizook's resto
okay, that sound so overly complicated, I almost can't believe it  glueing rubber will almost certainly end in grief, glueing down sound deadening will be much better, and you won't even need a rubber mat over top of it (if you use the non-aluminium backed stuff that is, same as what the suzi's...

Re: Santana Pickup Build
you should be able to get it off with a wire brush on a drill or dremel. I just starting using por15 too, it's really expensive, but probably the greatest paint in existence! it'l do the job just fine on ali, without the need for primer or topcoat, and it's rock hard and chip free!

Re: Kiwizook's resto
seeing mine has a lot of relatively flat sheet metal right behind the seats, it probably makes a lot of difference, and I wanted to cover up my welds, so the transport people can't complain about it when it gets re-registered :D one thing to watch out for though is the fact that it can trap water an...
