Need some assistance please on how to match a paint colour

A small problem is looming because I'm going to have to get some welding work done on one of the rear door hinge mounts on my 410 which has become very rusty and is delaminating in to a total crusty mess. No problem with this as I know a very good welder but the previous owner of my vehicle had it s...

Re: Handleing?

Some years ago I was the Quality Assurance Manager for a well known vehicle manufacturer (not Suzuki) and one of my roles was to have regular liaison with the Vehicle Inspectorate in Bristol. I had a company car but I always had a fascination for SJ's and on one visit to the VI I casually brought th...

Re: cigarrete lighter not working

So why don't you find a positive feed either before or after ignition (as suits you) and put an inline fuse in to the positive feed?

Re: cigarrete lighter not working

If you go on to Youtube there are some very good instructional videos on how cigarette lighters work and how to repair them. I fixed mine this way.

Re: Oil cap pressure

Quite agree with Cristoff but we appear to be talking about air pressure here rather than oil pressure - or have I missed the point?

Re: Oil cap pressure

Another possibility is that the cylinder bores and or the piston rings have excessive wear and are allowing exhaust gasses to pass in to the crankcase. If the crankcase venting system is not working 100% or the exhaust gas going into the crankcase is excessive and therefore is not fully being vented...

Re: Serious backfire!!

Copied and pasted from the Internet - hope it helps. Causes for backfiring normally wont change from one car make to another, backfiring in a nutshell: A backfire is when the ignition of fuel doesn't take place in the ignition/combustion chamber, it(a backfire) can take place in the intake or exhaus...

Re: Screaming Belt Noise SJ410

A quick way of checking if the noise is coming from the fan belt if it isn't obvious that it needs adjusting or replacing is to trickle some water over the belt as it's rotating. In some cases the water will increase the grip of the belt and in others will lubricate it - but in either case it will c...

Re: 410 Interior Light

Thanks for the info everybody - I googled Halfords last night and they sell two for £2.99 so I'll take an old one and match it. Re the checking of the bulb using the door switches - I'm afraid these have been out of the equation for a long time but the light still worked. The problem is that the bul...

410 Interior Light

A minor issue I know but can anyone advise on where to buy bulbs for the interior light of a 410? They are about £5.00 each from Suzuki and as I may have a fault with the light on mine I would like a few to play around with to try and sort it out.
